Modern Log Homes, Log Cabins, Log Home Kits & Floor Plans - An Overview

Log homes, log cabins, and log cabin homes have been popular in this country since the first settlers chopped down their first trees to build shelter. Today, modern log homes are at the forefront of today's non-conventional home structures. They "log homes and log cabins" provide many amenities that our ancestors were deprived of including hot tubs, saunas, bowling alleys, and private golf courses and helipads to just name a few. These modern and sometimes more contemporary log homes and cabins are adorned with rustic style and culture that seems almost out of place in our hustle and bustle e-commerce age. They truly are a shelter from the frenzied lifestyle and make daily living a more relaxing and truly enjoyable experience.

With numerous log home manufacturers and located in almost every state, the modern log home is also easier than ever to obtain. A perspective buyer set on a new log home today has numerous styles and options to select from that were simply not available a few years ago. The modern log home manufacturers offer a barrage of styles and wood species that are designed for both style and rigid structural integrity. This makes choosing a log home kit and log home manufacturer much easier today than just a few years ago.

Modern log home manufacturers produce their log homes in the form of a log home kit or a log cabin kit. A buyer works out his or her floor plan needs with the design team at a log home manufacturers facility to produce a log home design that incorporates the log home floor plan needed by the buyer. When this is complete, the buyer and log home manufacturer have a workable log home plan or log cabin plan that is ready for production. Once the production is complete of the log home kit, the log home manufacturer is ready to hand off the complete log home kit, and the log home plan to a qualified log home builder.

Construction is the final phase of the modern log home. The log home builder gets his log home kit or log cabin kit with a detailed log home plan from the log home manufacturer and starts the actual construction of the log home, log cabin, or log cabin home. At this point, the buyer finishes his or her selections of fixtures and coverings to complete the modern log home.
